ComoNe外観

Common Nexus (Common Nexus, nicknamed “ComoNe”) is a place for co-creation operated by the Tokai National University Organization. It is located directly connected to Nagoya University Station and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2025. It is a space of exploration open to all, including not only students and faculty of Nagoya University and Gifu University, but also the neighborhood and children.

Aiming to create the norm for the future, we support the creation of new exchanges and values from connections that transcend generations and domains through a variety of facilities and diverse programs.

Origin of the facility name Common Nexus, nicknamed “Comone”

“Common” refers to shared knowledge, and ‘Nexus’ refers to connection, bond, aggregation, and network. The goal of ComoNe is to create a common ground (=Common Nexus).

Margins of Possibility Open to the Sky

The green plaza that spreads out in the center of the Higashiyama Campus, Nagoya University is an axis connecting the Toyota Auditorium and the city of Nagoya, and is a large vessel for the free expression of human activity and creativity.
This place, inspired by the former valley-like landscape called “Yato” and the former park, is also a universal space open to the community. The one-roofed underground space is connected to the subway, creating a three-dimensional intersection of people, activity, and nature. I hope that the possibilities will expand into the future and into the world. -Tetsuo Kobori

Origin of the logo

The logo represents the overlapping wisdom and networks of the people working at Common Nexus as the diversity of ecosystems in the soil. The logo combines contrasting pixel representations in an organic form to highlight the diversity of individuals and to show how ComoNe is a place where conflicting things merge and become the soil that gives birth to New Standards.
